THE MUSEUM OF TRABZON
The mansion which today serves as the Museum of Trabzon was constructed by the money broker Kostaki Teophylaktos around 1898-1918 in the early 1900s. The architect of the mansion is supposed to have been an Italian, however his name is not clarified. The structure reveals that most of the materials used in the construction of this mansion were imported from Italy. In 1917, Kostaki Teophylaktos went bankrupt, and all his property including this mansion was confiscated.

The construction of this mansion was started by Nemlizade Hacı Ahmet Efendi in Gazi Paşa neighbourhood and completed in 1892.

Before the settling, Koprubasi was full of rich forests and the sun could not heat the soil due to the density of trees.

İSKENDERPASHA MOSQUE
Inscription over the entrance gate of the mosque dates back to 1529 (936 in Islamic Calendar). There is also one more inscription informing the restoration in 1882 which gave the mosque its present appearance. The originality of the mosque which underwent many repairs and was enlarged with additions at various times was damaged. The medrese standing in the courtyard was ruined, and the graveyard to the west was removed, leaving only the grave of İskender Pasha there.
