ABOUT DÜZKÖYOur county had been a village with the name of “Haçka” before it became a county in 1944 and its name has been changed as “Düzköy” when it became a municipality in 1961. It was a municipality of Akçaabat untill 9th May 1990 when it became a county with the law of 3644.
County of Düzköy is consisted of 6 different neighbourhoods as Düzalan, Orta Mahalle, Büyük Mahalle, Cevizlik Mahallesi, Yenimahalle, Tepecik. 10 settlemens are depended on the county six of which are villages ant the others are municipality. Most of the population migrates to plateaus after april to the end of summer.
80% of the areas in the county is rugged terrain. Corn, potatoes, bean, and products like these are cultivated in farmable areas. Economy is based on agricultural and animal products. Akçaabat is located in North of our county; Maçka in the East, Vakfıkebir in the West, Tonya in the Southwest.
Our county is 35 km far from Trabzon and 8 km far from Akçaabat. The transportation road is tarmac. Except stabilized road of Tonya; there is no other county in the inner side that Düzköy has motorway too.
