THE WORLD’S FIRST UNCOVERED MASJID WITH TWO MINARETS: KADIRGA PLATEAU
Kadirga Plateau has an elevation of 2300 m. Tens of thousands of people attend Kadirga Festival held every year on the third Friday of July. The most interesting feautre of the plateau is its open-air masjid with two minarets. People say that Mehmet Sultan the Conquerer had paid a visit to Kadir Agha’s grave and performed Friday prayer here with his companies. The name Kadirga is also said to come from Kadir Agha.
