ABOUT ARSİN
Town center is located on the seaboard and has a slope land. Depending on the biome, summers are cool and winters are warm. Temperate climate dominates the area. It was established on the Trabzon-Rize coast line which is 20km east of Trabzon Province. It is surrounded by Araklı on the East, Yomra on the West, the Black Sea on the North and Yagmurdere township of Gumushane on the South. It has 7km seacoast with the Black Sea. Arsin Town has maintained its existence as a center of population since the middle age and with the conquest of Trabzon by Mehmed II; it was included in the Ottoman Empire in 26 November 1461. Invaded by Russians on 13 April 1916, Arsin was rescued from the invasion on 24 February 1918. As Arsin was affiliated with Yomra until 1952, it became a district in that time and with the establishment of Municipal Organization on 4 April 1959, it became a town.
Arsin means Clean and disinfected. It is said that it takes its name from the sands, which are in natural beach form, on the town shore. Drawing attention with the raw and natural beauties, our town has natural beaches. A lot of tourist facilities have been set up along the coast in recent years. There are proper areas for camping. It is suitable for tent and nature tourism due to its location.
