ORTAHİSAR MOSQUE
The structure, which is formerly called as the Golden headed Virgin Mary Church, is assumed to have been built with a basilica plan within a monastery. Its construction date goes back to the year 914. However, present plan of the structure dates back to the 12th century. Historic records reveal that the structure has experienced six major restoration periods. The structure with three naves has one apse that is round on the inside and polygonal on the outside.
İSKENDERPASHA MOSQUE
Inscription over the entrance gate of the mosque dates back to 1529 (936 in Islamic Calendar).
THE VALLEY THAT CARRIES ON THE NAME OF ZAGNOS PASHA
Located inbetween Zagnos Bridge and Kahramanmaras Street, Zagnos Valley is adjacent to the historical Zagnos Bastion. Zagnos Valley Urban Transformation Project is being executed here.
AHİ EVREN DEDE MOSQUE AND MAUSOLEUM
The construction date of Ahi Evren Dede Mosque, which is located in Boztepe Neighbourhood overlooking Trabzon, is not known.
ÇAKIRGÖL PLATEAU
With a distance of 13 km from Maçka-Meryemana road (leading to Sumela Monastery) and 2504 meters from the seaside, the plateau is surrounded by various plateaus such as Armutluk, Kırantaş, Akarsu, Livayda, Kurugöl, Mesaraş, Furnoba, Kasapoğlu, Camiboğazı, Ortaoba and Dereboyu.
THE WORLD’S FIRST UNCOVERED MASJID WITH TWO MINARETS: KADIRGA PLATEAU
Kadirga Plateau has an elevation of 2300 m. Tens of thousands of people attend Kadirga Festival held every year on the third Friday of July.
HIDIRNEBİ PLATEAU
Hıdırnebi was established on the hill which is behind the Hıdırnebi Stone. Today, Hıdırnebi Plateau can be reached by a 45minute trip from Trabzon's center and half an hour from Akcaabat's center. Located on the 1450-1500m altitude, it is one of the most important holiday resorts and stopovers of the Black Sea Region. It is asked and preferred with its natural beauty and Yayla Kent facilities that were made in 1998 and have a transmitter on the west.
